:the filter might be an oil/air separator. its just another means of allowing the crankcase to breath, but the z32 valve covers have built-in vacuum ports located on the front of the intake valve covers.
:as an example, my neighbor uses an oil/air separator between the valve cover and catch can that he added on a sc mustang

yeah ive seen this filter thing on like muscle cars.

a few days back it was covered with oil then i cleaned it..now again it has oil around it and under the filter its all oily, on the wires n all.

do u think if the turbo was to leak oil..there would be smoke coming out from the engine bay?

im just hoping that after replacing the cap tomorrow and getting the engine washed there wont be anymore of this smoke and oil.
